States Start Banning Handheld Cell Phone Use

California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Washington States have current laws in effect banning use of hand held cell phones while driving.  Tickets/Fines and specifics vary, but the trend is obvious.

Currently use of hands-free devices, such as Bluetooth headsets, appear to be acceptable for the majority of the public.  However, stricter regulations may be in effect in your state for Minors/Novice Drivers.  Be sure to check your specific State's Laws!
